Work really gets in the way of my life.
Well…. that, and that we went to Switzerland last weekend……………………..
……………..and did some skiing, and for the first time in 3 visits…. I did not come back with an injury! Wooo! (previously I have hurt my shoulder, and then the next time we went I caught the edge of my ski on the skicross and skidded ON MY FACE! lol)
But I digress. I have been working on a couple of things (secret things), and making some tasty tasty sourdough, but nothing to post for a while.
Good news! This morning I had a whole 3 and a half hours where I wasn’t on call so I decided to make some stuff!
Lemony Smoked Paprika Hummous Recipe – from Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz.
Ingredients
1 15oz can chickpeas, liquid reserved, rinsed and drained
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed, and the zest of a lemon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp smoke paprika
Method
Put the chickpeas in a food processor and pulse until there are no whole chickpeas left, then add the remainder of the ingredients and process to a puree, adding some of the reserved liquid from the can if needed, scraping down the sides of the food processor bowl to make sure you get everything.
Yum.

Then, I also made some baked falafel to go with it and made some wraps for lunch!
Yum. Yum. Yum. And some leftover for lunch tomorrow!
