Herman was split yesterday at day 9…
The next step at day 10 was to bake…
So I figured the first recipe to try had to be the one I was given.

Herman Apple, Raisin and Cinnamon Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 portion Herman
200g sugar
240g plain flour
2 eggs
2tsp vanilla essence
2 heaped tsp cinnamon
2 heaped tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
160ml oil (sunflower)
2 cooking apples, peeled and cut into chunks
75g raisins
Method
On day 10, add all the above ingredients together in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
Pour into a large greased roasting tin. Sprinkle with 45g brown sugar and 60g melted butter.
Bake for 45 minutes at 180C.
When cool, cut into fingers and eat!

But then I found this site giving instructions on the base recipe, then adding 200g of whatever you like. I love coconut, or at least like it along with a lot of other things, and was sortof feeling in the mood for some coconutty yumminess (I think it may have been because I virtuously refrained from getting some Ben and Jerrys at the cinema on Saturday!)

Herman Base Cake Recipe – taken from here
1 portion Herman
160ml oil
3 eggs
250g sugar
350g self raising flour
1 tsp salt
200g dry ingredients and flavourings of your choice!
(note: I used 50g cocoa, 150g desiccated coconut, and 2tsp vanilla essence)
As above, add all of the ingredients into a big bowl and mix!
In this case I decided to make some individual cakes in muffin cases, so spooned the mix (it was much less runny than the original mix) into cases….
….and baked for 20 minutes at 180C. (note: the smell emanating from the kitchen was super yummy)
Leave to cool, then, again, eat!
P.s. they also taste yummy!
