Embracing the sewing machine: Simplicity 3835 (View C)

I have a bad habit. It is buying books, patterns, all sorts of things, for cuteness value. The good intention is there to make something…. But it never seems to happen.

So I got out some patterns and had a flick through for things I would like to make, having also bought some pretty fabrics that I wanted to make things out of!

So I started with this pattern:

Making a nice simple top, involving 3 pieces of fabric, and 3 lengths of elastic.

All sewn together…..

Cute no?

The pattern was quite easy to put together, and I like the result. I have made the 3/4 sleeve mini dress of this pattern before too……..

…. I liked that less, it had weird bits around the arm cuffs, and the facings around the neck annoy me. I do fancy the other version, it will also have weird facings… But also has pockets. I love pockets.

Love it! Can I order one please? Maybe I should bring my sewing machine down south in May?
