Phew! What a busy day it was! Most of the preparation was done over the weekend, we made Millionaire’s Shortbread, Coconut Macaroons, Bakewell Tarts, Balmoral Tarts (not that great, bit odd, not sure I’ll make them again), Tea Loaf cake, Parsley Pinwheels, Potato salad…. Oh and this:

Altogether, I reckon, a spread fit for Queenie’s Diamond Jubilee!
We had some fabulous entries into the competition to win the beautiful rosettes, but in the end, Sally, our very own little Cornish pixie won the savoury prize with her delicious cheese and onion Pasties:

We dressed the house in bunting, my large collection of cake stands, and teacups, with of course the final finishing touch being my finally complete and assembled Jubilee cushion!
