Busy couple of weeks! Trips to Tahoe and Yosemite, paperwork, paperwork, more paperwork……..
Now back to business as usual.
I was having a lazy Sunday morning yesterday (not quite as lazy as Mr M, who spent it sleeping), and decided to indulge myself in another little cross stitch project…. although on a decidedly smaller scale than Delia!
This is another one of the little freebie extra designs that you get with the CrossStitcher digital edition, this time a Bluebird.
It starts with a box of pretty colours, which is one of the main things that attracted me to this design, and then progresses quite quickly, I finished it in half a day!
I added, like before, the scientific name:
..and then mounted it in a hoop, which I covered with some ribbon that I found in my stash:
Can I just say – Shiny shiny! Check out that sparkly ribbon!
It has joined it’s friend on the wall:
I spent the rest of yesterday on a little cycle to Shoreline with Mr M.
I have been getting out on my bicycle quite a lot lately. I look out the window as I’m sat studying and it seems a shame to waste the entire day indoors! So, I have been exploring some of the cycle trails nearby, we are really lucky in that we live just off the Guadalupe River Trail, and it connects to lots of other trails nearby.
Other than that, and studying, I have set up the knitting machine in the den:
…my own little knitting cave! I am trying to get properly to grips with the basics, as Mr M’s parents brought over the ribber attachment with them, and I thought I should be able to do the simple stuff first!
